What if school photos weren’t so …..School Photo-y

Do you remember standing in a line to get your school photos done in the gymnasium? Waiting to forcing a smile for the photographer. The background was either blue, grey, or books…when the photos finally arrived they looked stiff and awkward; nothing like your child’s real personality.

Well I’m here to tell you that those school photos with awkward smiles is a thing of the past. Here at Sarah’s Grassroots Photography, the school photography experience has been transformed; it’s meant to be a fun, relaxed, and memorable moments where we capture moments that reflect who your child is, and not just what they look like.

How are your photos different than regular school photos?

First off, you child will get to be themselves in front of the Camera. We’ll laugh, we’ll goof off, and I’ll encourage your child to be their true self.

My photos are taken against a white or black background, this ensures the focus of the image stays where it should be— On Your Child!

And finally the gallery will include images in both black/white and colour, so you can pick images based off of your personal style. These images are not just photos, they are artwork for your walls… let’s make sure they match your vibe.

How does your pricing work?

I like to keep things simple, so I have 3 package options:

$30- includes sitting fee + 1 digital image per child

$50- Includes sitting fee + 3 digital images per child

$80- Includes sitting fee + full Gallery of digital  images per child

*Sibling Photos and Family Photos can be added on at the time of booking (please note you only need to pay for the Sibling or Family add-on’s with one child.

How do I get my Images? And do I get to Choose the ones I want?

You absolutely get to choose the images you purchase! Each Parent will receive an Online Private Gallery of their child (password protected) by email. Once you get the link to your gallery you will be able to select photos based off of the package you have purchased.

What if I Want More Images then I Originally purchased in my package?

Not to worry, you will always be able to upgrade your package when selecting images.

I do not post my child’s images on social media, how do I know you won’t use my child’s images on your social media?

That is such a great question, and I want to assure you that I will not use your child’s images with out approval from you first. When you book your session you will be sent two contracts, the first one is a mandatory contract to book your session; this one is in place so we both know the expectations for the sessions on both sides. The second contract is a Model Release, this one is optional. If I do not have a signed copy of this rest assured, I will not post your child’s image.

How do I book my spot?

To book your spot you can follow the link below where you will be walked through the booking process.

-First, select the package you wish to order for your child (you will need to do this separately for each child).

-Then, you will be brought to the booking calendar where you will select your time slot on the day your school has selected.

-Finally, to complete your booking you will then be sent the contracts by email or text.

Once your package is paid for and the contracts are filled out your spot is officially yours.

Where will the session take place?

The session will take place near or in Salmon Arm (often times at the location of your school), exact location will be sent to you one you have booked.
